Flameworks & Magna Carta – Policy Communications

Over the past five years, we have partnered with the policy strategy advisory agency Magna Carta. Together, we have worked on European and UK policy projects, mostly for Liberty Global and GIGA Europe, creating a strong online presence through their social media channels. In the showcase below, you can see a selection of the many designs, animations, and videos that Flameworks has created over the years.


It all began in 2020, when we first teamed up with Magna Carta on a project for Liberty Global. Our responsibility was to elevate their Policy page on Twitter (now X). By collaborating closely with both Magna Carta and the Liberty Global team, we gave the page a complete visual overhaul and began curating engaging content for the timeline. We successfully reached key audiences, most notably policymakers and journalists in Brussels involved in the EU telecom sector, and grew the number of high-quality followers significantly. Last year, our focus shifted from X to a new LinkedIn subpage for Liberty Global Policy, where we continue to provide ongoing content support.

A special highlight of our partnership with Magna Carta was the “Powering the UK’s Vital Connections” campaign for Liberty Global and Virgin Media. In this multimedia campaign, we developed a wide range of visuals to communicate the essential role both companies played in the UK on crucial topics such as online schooling, e-health, and the gigabit revolution. These were key issues at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, making the message especially impactful. From animated website banners and social media content to printed magazine ads, the campaign truly spanned multiple communication channels. It was a great success and was even recognised at the 2021 Corp Comms Awards, winning in the category “Best Corporate Campaign”.

We also collaborated with Magna Carta on projects for GIGA Europe. Here, our main focus was to build an engaging and informative social media presence around EU telecom policy. We developed a clear brand book for the organisation and implemented its guidelines consistently across all channels and messaging.

In addition to policy content, we placed strong emphasis on event communications for both Liberty Global and GIGA Europe. Each organisation hosted numerous events, for which we were responsible for promotional materials, event collateral (both print and digital), and post-event content such as highlight videos and visuals featuring key takeaways.

Overall, the Flameworks & Magna Carta partnership has been an incredible success, and we look forward to many more projects together in the future.
